Profile of liver surgeon Nigel Heaton who heads one of the world's leading units at King's College Hospital, London, and has performed 800 transplants during his 14-year career. The pressure is on as he treats two-year-old Omar, whose father has made the huge sacrifice of donating a piece of his own liver to save his son's life. Another patient, 27-year-old Lizzie, has suffered rejection of new organs in the past, so for her latest operation Nigel decides to perform a simultaneous bone-marrow transplant to give her a better chance of success
