Part one. Boyd is horrified to learn that Carl Mackenzie, the man accused of a shopping centre massacre, has been granted the right to appeal, forcing the reopening of the original investigation. Refusing to believe the wrong man was convicted, he throws himself into the case, but when the squad unearth new evidence that supports Mackenzie's claim, it also leads to the discovery of some disturbing truths about their superior officer.
