  • Season 5 Episode 2: The Vicar in White

Part two of two. After a whirlwind romance with handsome newcomer Harry, chocaholic vicar Dawn French is swapping her dog collar and cassock for a wedding dress, and hurriedly making preparations for the big day. But as ever, things don't go according to plan - the vicar she's chosen for the service seems a little too fond of her, while the villagers have waited till now to suggest their ideas. The first is a skydiving wedding - the second is something far, far worse. Keeley Hawes and Hugh Bonneville guest star in the last ever episode of the comedy, with the regular team of Emma Chambers, Roger Lloyd Pack, James Fleet, Gary Waldhorn, Trevor Peacock and John Bluthal

  • Season 5 Episode 1: The Handsome Stranger

Dawn French makes a welcome return for a two-part Christmas special, although the bad news is it's said to be the last time she'll be donning the vicar's cassock and collar. Geraldine decides to bring a bit of culture to the parish by forming a book club - the only downside being, it means the likes of foul-mouthed farmer Owen actually reading a book. Remarkably though, dippy Alice manages to decipher the clues in The Da Vinci Code, and concludes that she's the last living relative of Christ. However, Geraldine soon has more pressing matters on her mind - namely the number of fashionable 'townies' buying weekend cottages in the village. But her thoughts turn from revolt to romance when her head is turned by a particularly charming newcomer - played by Robin Hood hunk Richard Armitage - and it soon becomes clear he feels the same. Keeley Hawes guest stars, with Emma Chambers, Roger Lloyd Pack, James Fleet, Gary Waldhorn, Trevor Peacock and John Bluthal

  • Season 4 Episode 2: Happy New Year

As 2005 rolls around, irreverent reverend Geraldine is keen to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Live Aid but it seems she's in the minority, and she soon realises her flock are somewhat out of touch, with all but one believing Margaret Thatcher still runs the country. However, that's not the only landmark on the horizon - the chocaholic vicar is also approaching her 40th birthday, an event she is keen that no-one should mark in the slightest way. But of course, the villagers see things differently, and in typical fashion they try to pair off their man-hungry cleric at Suzie's Speed-Dating Extravaganza. Despite her initial horror, Geraldine actually grows quite keen on the idea. Dawn French stars, with Gary Waldhorn, Emma Chambers and James Fleet
