• Season 2 Episode 10: EPISODE: 10 (2008) Anne awaits her fate in the Tower; Henry proposes to Jane Seymour; Elizabeth is removed from the line of succession.

• Season 2 Episode 8: EPISODE: 8 (2008) Anne's resurgence of popularity at court is short-lived; Jane replaces Anne in Henry's affections; Anne's hysteria causes complications; Henry attempts to renew his alliance with Charles.
• Season 2 Episode 7: EPISODE: 7 (2008) Cromwell reports on his findings about the Roman Catholic Church and confiscates its wealth for the crown; Anne has a firmer grip on power; a new lady-in-waiting catches Henry's eye.

• Season 2 Episode 5: EPISODE 5 (2008) Sir Thomas More and Cardinal Fisher refuse to recognise Henry as supreme head of the English Church - and as a result, both are imprisoned in the Tower of London. Meanwhile, the King's eye continues to wander, despite his recent marriage to Anne Boleyn
• Season 2 Episode 4: EPISODE 4 (2008) Princess Elizabeth is baptised and the Act of Succession is unveiled, declaring only children of Henry and Anne to be legitimate successors to the English throne. • Season 2 Episode 2: EPISODE 2 (2008) Christmas is without cheer in the Tudor court in the absence of the queen. King Henry VIII's chaplain, Thomas Cranmer, undertakes a fact-finding mission to Lutheran Germany, while at home the king withdraws the authority of the Catholic Church. Sir Thomas More resigns as chancellor, and Henry argues with Charles Brandon about his mistress. Meanwhile, a royal visit to France convinces Anne to consummate her relationship with the king
• Season 2 Episode 1: EPISODE: 1 New series. Henry VIII appoints himself head of the Church of England as the Catholic Church struggles to control his demands for an annulment. Catherine of Aragon is banished from court at the insistence of Anne Boleyn, and a cook is boiled alive for poisoning a high-ranking bishop. • Season 1 Episode 10: EPISODE: 10 (2008) New chancellor Sir Thomas More starts cracking down on religious extremists, but Anne Boleyn convinces the King he should at least consider Martin Luther's writings. Meanwhile, Cardinal Wolsey and Queen Catherine form an uneasy alliance to try to protect their positions, but it's rumours of a conspiracy involving them, the Pope and Charles V that finally force Henry's hand. • Season 1 Episode 9: EPISODE: 9 (2008) Cardinal Wolsey bears the brunt of the king's anger when the ecclesiastical court announces it will have to consult with Rome before granting a divorce. Anne takes advantage of the delay by introducing the monarch to Martin Luther's teachings, while Sir Thomas More meets with Francis I to make sure he isn't planning to reconcile with Spain
• Season 1 Episode 8: EPISODE: 8 (2008) 'Episode 108' A special envoy from the Pope arrives to hear Henry's petition regarding the legitimacy of his marriage, with the fate of Cardinal Wolsey's career, the king's romance with Anne Boleyn, and the nation's relationship with Rome in the balance
• Season 1 Episode 7: EPISODE: 7 (2008) 'Episode 107' (2007) The country is struck down with food shortages and an outbreak of plague, forcing the normally buoyant Henry to doubt his future and abilities - but a sudden change in fortunes is on the horizon.

Cardinal Wolsey meets with envoys from the Holy Roman-Emperor to discuss a treaty between the two nations. However, tensions mount with the King of France hears news of their plans

However, the monarch soon becomes tired of his latest woman, prompting her father to take drastic action in an effort to keep the royal entertained
