Part one of a sequel to the blockbuster TV drama, exploring the period of history skipped over in the original series, following the cross-continental escapades of a wartime priest (Richard Chamberlain), his illicit lover (Amanda Donohoe), and her brutish husband. While raising her family in the Australian Outback, the wayward wife dabbles in deceit to keep the truth about the priest's illegitimate child from her husband : but how long can the charade go on? Also starring Simon Westaway, Julia Blake and Olivia Burnette. Concludes tomorrow
