• Season 1 Episode 5: Queen's Gambit (2008) Sarah re-examines the capabilities of her friend Andy's computer when he enters it in a chess competition, during which she meets a stranger with a history similar to hers. Agent Ellison's investigation continues, as he discovers the remnants of a previous battle between terminators
• Season 1 Episode 4: Heavy Metal (2008) When Sarah, Cameron and John track down stolen cargo they become separated, which leads John to discover that the future is more unsafe than he had hoped; agent Ellison's murder investigation leads him to an interesting suspect.
• Season 1 Episode 3: The Turk (2008) Sarah visits the widow of Miles Dyson in her search for Skynet's creator, and is introduced to Andy Goode, a former colleague of Dyson who is now building a chess-playing computer named 'The Turk'. Meanwhile, John and Cameron do their best to try to fit in as they face their first day at a new school

Drama picking up after the events of Terminator 2, as Sarah Connor tries to keep son John safe from the tentacles of the US government and prepare him for his destiny as a resistance leader in the war against the machines. Aiding the pair in their struggle to survive is Cameron Phillips, a reprogrammed terminator masquerading as a young woman
