  • Season 25 Episode 6: The Knife Trick

    Lecturer Alastair Matheson is stabbed to death in front of 30 fledgling police officers during a knife demonstration. At first it seems no more than a fatal accident in a training exercise, but when Matt, Robbie and Jackie discover that the weapon was tampered with, they find themselves faced with a murder inquiry in an all too familiar environment.     Ross finds himself at the centre of a murder inquiry after his contact book is stolen by a woman he picked up at a pub.     A college principal is crushed to death in a lift whose mechanism had been doctored, and when it transpires he had been having an affair, suspicion immediately falls on his widow.
