Synopsis:
Documentary recounting the catalogue of safety infringements prior to the explosion at the Chernobyl Nuclear Plant in Ukraine in 1986, many of which were not only recognised before the disaster but entirely deliberate. Fifty-seven people died on the day and, as the resultant radioactive cloud stretched as far west as Ireland, vast areas of eastern Europe were contaminated and many babies born with defects
