Supervolcano

Two-part factual drama based on genuine scientific research, exploring the possible sequence of events should the 'supervolcano' beneath Yellowstone National Park ever erupt. The mouth of the volcano measures 85km by 45km, larger than Tokyo, and geologists have theorised that an eruption could bury an area of ground the size of Britain in four metres of hot ash, while the subsequent flow of lava could annihilate much of the state.
