Hypochondriac Lynda undergoes tests for a brain tumour and is given the all-clear, but then puts not only her marriage but also her relationship with her sisters at risk by telling an extraordinary lie. Elaine is depressed about spending her birthday without Frank, and is stunned to discover that his 'function' is none other than his 20th wedding anniversary party. Meanwhile, Donna returns home to find Billy waiting for her and hatches a plan to get him out of her life forever. Concluding part of the drama, starring Fay Ripley and Claire Rushbrook
