Deakin attends his father's funeral but, annoyed at the lack of attention his parent paid him, he vows to rid himself of everything owned by the deceased : including a seaside wax museum and the row of shops to which Julie and Stan's hairdressing salon belongs. Meanwhile, Pat and Depp accompany Stan to his ageing relatives Marie and Stafford's Golden Wedding anniversary party, where they grow concerned about the latter's vegetative state : only to discover his illness is faked in an effort to get him out of the house once in a while.
