TV Show (1993)

Three romantic adventures set in Spain during the Peninsular Wars, starring Sean Bean as the rugged British Army officer carrying out dangerous missions behind enemy lines. In the first episode, the return of an old enemy (Oscar nominee Pete Postlethwaite) leads to a series of catastrophes beginning with Sharpe losing his hard-earned captaincy, and culminating in a race against time to rescue his lover Teresa and their baby from the beleaguered city of Badajoz before Wellington's forces attack.
