Synopsis:
Conclusion of the two-part drama recounting the story behind explorer Ernest Shackleton's unsuccessful 1914 expedition to the South Pole, re-enacting the hardships suffered when his ship the Endurance became trapped in sea ice just one day's sail from the continent, forcing him and his companions to abandon ship and take their chances on the frozen wastes of the Antarctic. The tale concludes with the adventurer's crossing to South Georgia Island and subsequent heroic rescue of his stranded men. …
