  • Wales v Italy

Wales v Italy (Kick-off 5.00pm). Coverage of the Rugby World Cup warm-up match, which takes place at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. This is the final chance for both teams to prepare for the event, which begins later this month. Wales are in a group containing Uruguay, England, Australia and Fiji, while Italy take on France, Canada, Ireland and Romania in Pool D. Ross Harries presents, with analysis from Martyn Williams, Carlo Del Fava, Sean Holley and injured Welsh star Jonathan Davies, and commentary by Gareth Charles and former international Jonathan Davies

  • Ulster v Ospreys

Ulster v Ospreys (Kick-off 7.35pm). Coverage of the opening match of the PRO12 season for both teams, which takes place at Kingspan Stadium. This match sees the beaten semi-finalists from last season lock horns, and both teams will enter this fixture with depleted squads owing to international players being away with their respective national teams ahead of the Rugby World Cup. However, the players on show will be keen to begin the campaign with a victory and impress their respective coaches in a game in which they might not ordinarily feature. Presented by Ross Harries, with commentary by Gareth Charles and Jonathan Davies, and analysis from Martyn Williams and Carlo Del Fava

  • Newport Gwent Dragons v Zebre

Newport Gwent Dragons v Zebre (Kick-off 7.05pm). Coverage of the PRO12 match from Rodney Parade, where the second round of fixtures commences. The corresponding fixture in the previous campaign saw the Dragons claim a 25-11 victory, which at the time saw them move above the Italian outfit in the table. Ross Wardle, Hallam Amos and Rynard Landman were the Dragons' try scorers on that occasion, while Tom Prydie contributed one conversion and two successful penalty kicks to the score total. While both sides will look to improve on their overall performances of last season the visitors will have the greater sense of urgency, and an away win here would already better their away record in 2014/15. While the Dragons will start as favourites to claim maximum points, there is an air of unpredictability regarding the opening weeks of the season, with the World Cup leaving both squads bereft of several international players, and the strength of each squad will be severely tested, especially the Italians, who are one of just two sides from that country involved in the PRO12 league
