Three teams are challenged to design and build medieval-style throwing machines, capable of hurling cabbages - and 'Robin Hood' - into a castle. The winning team then takes on Dick Strawbridge and his Diamonds in a head-to-head contest - and the presenter is hungry for victory, having won a similar challenge in the previous series
Season 12 Episode 3: Water Power
Dick Strawbridge and his Diamonds challenge another three teams to defeat them by designing and building machines powered solely by water. The creations must be strong, fast and manoeuverable, while Dick and his elite crew of engineers are especially determined to triumph, having lost a similar challenge in the previous series
Season 12 Episode 2: Stuck in the Mud
Presenter Dick Strawbridge leads a team to compete against three rival groups in the construction challenge show. This programme sees them take part in bomb retrieval and speed trials, but they face a further obstacle in the quagmire of mud deep in Beaulieu's woods
