    One-off episode. Nearly seven years have passed since Baby David's christening, but Jim is still picking his nose and setting the world to rights from his armchair. Nana is now the centre of attention after moving in and Antony is a successful businessman. Denise is pregnant again and sporting fancy hair extensions, while Cheryl is still trying to lose weight and looking for love. Caroline Aherne, Craig Cash and Ricky Tomlinson star.     With the family stuffed full of turkey and Nana supping snowballs like there's no tomorrow, it can mean only one thing - Christmas at the Royles', who are celebrating in typical fashion by congregating round the box to watch Rolf Harris. But this year they have special guests - none other than the parents of Antony's posh girlfriend Emma. Ricky Tomlinson, Sue Johnston, Caroline Aherne and Craig Cash star in the Christmas show from 2000, with guest appearances by Sharon Duce and John Henshaw

    The Royles return, two years after their last outing The Queen of Sheba. It is Christmas Eve, and the couch potatoes are celebrating as only they know how - gathered round the TV. Denise decides to cook the Christmas dinner after being inspired by Nigella Lawson, and invites Dave's parents, much to Jim's dismay. Sadly, son Antony is missing out on the fun, babysitting for the young Royles over in his own home - but then, as Denise remarks 'It's not a day for kids is it, Christmas?' However, Jim's fellow scouse pal Twiggy does barge in for a visit. This year Barbara has gone overboard with the presents after spending an entire two hours in the pound shop, Joe next door has turned to the lonely hearts column, although his advert leaves a lot to be desired, and Dave has had a flash of entrepreneurial inspiration that he intends to pitch to Dragons' Den - are the family on the brink of becoming millionaires?     The couch-potato clan returns for another one-off comedy special, and there is much excitement in the Royle household. Jim and Barbara have received a gift from their loving children - a large sum of cash to spend however they choose. Barbara has dreams of going abroad, having only been away once before - on honeymoon to Ormskirk - while Jim has his heart set on a satellite HD box. As tension mounts between the couple, a family discussion ensues. Sue Johnston and Ricky Tomlinson star, with Caroline Aherne and Craig Cash (who also co-wrote), Jessica Hynes, Peter Martin and a welcome return for Ralf Little as Antony, who was missing from last year's special The New Sofa

  • Joe's Crackers

    It is Christmas Day in the Royle household, and Jim is out of action following an unfortunate incident in the precinct, while Dave and Denise are concerned their gift of a fridge magnet looks poor next to the lavish presents brought by Anthony. Before long, a visit from the neighbours leads to a few trips down memory lane, with Joe reminiscing about a drunken evening of naked wrestling and Cheryl recalling a romantic encounter in the supermarket car park. Ricky Tomlinson, Sue Johnston, Caroline Aherne, Craig Cash and Ralf Little star in a festive edition of the comedy from 2010
