Rosemary & Thyme: Season 3 (2006)

• Season 3 Episode 8: The Cup of Silence

  Green-fingered amateur detectives Laura and Rosemary are called in to tackle a stubborn species of weed threatening an entire year's vintage at the Crickle Valley vineyard. As ever, they find themselves in the right place at the right time when the body of a wine critic is discovered on the premises. Feature-length episode of the light-hearted murder mystery, starring Felicity Kendal and Pam Ferris

• Season 3 Episode 7: Enter Two Gardens

  The green-fingered gumshoes work on a garden for an open air theatre, where Rosemary's cousin is due to perform. But the production turns deadly when an actor accidentally shoots himself during rehearsal - and the gun is found to be loaded with live ammunition. A member of the cast - unsurprisingly - gets an attack of stage fright, and Laura is obliged to take her place as the duo try to fathom who the bullet's intended recipient really was. Last in series

• Season 3 Episode 6: Racquet Espanol

  The duo visit a resort in Spain to create a trophy garden for a pro-am tennis tournament run by a former champion. When one of the competitors is found dead, everyone assumes it to be a gruesome accident - but there's more to the case than meets the eye. While investigating, Laura enters the mysterious world of bullfighting, and Rosemary rediscovers her love of motor scooters. Continuing the series from February 2006

• Season 3 Episode 5: The Gooseberry Bush

  The duo are hired to create a garden as a wedding present - and they're surprised to find a baby lying under a gooseberry bush. The discovery brings out Rosemary's maternal side as the pair investigate who abandoned the child and why. Their task is complicated when an artistic neighbour is murdered - and the two mysterious incidents appear to be connected. Starring Felicity Kendal and Pam Ferris

• Season 3 Episode 4: Three Legs Good

  Laura and Rosemary are hired to recreate a Victorian garden in Regent's Park, where they meet all manner of intriguing characters - but the oasis of calm in central London is shattered by the discovery of a body. The victim is a respected Harley Street psychiatrist, and the green-fingered gumshoes notice his three-legged dog appears to know more than it's letting on. • Season 3 Episode 3: Agua Cadaver

  The duo are invited to help create an Arabic garden in Malaga. Before long, a local resident is found dead, and a mysterious landowner is the chief suspect. When it transpires someone has blocked the mountainside water channels on which the new garden will rely, it appears the precious commodity may provide a motive for the killing. • Season 3 Episode 2: Seeds of Time

  The duo help reorganise the seed museum owned by the descendants of famous botanist Edwin Pargeter - but it isn't long before a man is found dead in the family's garden. In an effort to identify his killer, Rosemary involves colleagues from the Royal Horticultural Society at Kew, and soon the race is on to identify a batch of mysterious seeds before they fall into the wrong hands.   The green-fingered sleuths are called to a monastery to restore a herb garden in time for a royal visit - but their pruning and planting is disrupted by the discovery of a corpse. • Season 2 Episode 8: Up the Garden Path

  Laura and Rosemary are called in to investigate when gardens entered for a village contest turn out to be afflicted by the same blight. Further sinister undercurrents are exposed when reigning champion Donald Westward is found dead and recriminations start to fly as buried rivalries come to the surface. Felicity Kendal and Pam Ferris star

• Season 2 Episode 7: Swords into Ploughshares

  The sleuthing duo decide to delve a bit deeper when an archaeologist posing as Rosemary dies in mysterious circumstances during a dig for Anglo-Saxon artefacts in the grounds of Lord Engleton's stately pile. The famously perfect gardens are unaccountably blighted by yellowing, forcing the estate to close its gates to the public, and a second death suggests somebody will go to any lengths for a piece of British history. • Season 2 Episode 6: The Italian Rapscallion

  Laura and Rosemary are hired to create a restaurant garden for Emma Standish on the Ligurian coast of Italy and set off to tour the glorious Giardini Tremonti for inspiration. However, their working holiday turns into another murder mystery when a woman in their party is killed.   The green-fingered sleuths are hired to work behind the scenes of a garden makeover TV show, but Rosemary has an accident while standing in for the programme's star and ends up in hospital. Realising someone is trying to sabotage the series, Laura teams up with no-nonsense presenter Quinnie Dorell to catch the culprit. Drama, starring Felicity Kendal and Pam Ferris

  The green-wellied duo are hired to investigate why newly planted roses at an upmarket preparatory school keep dying. Arriving to witness the arcane ritual of the Night of the Stag, they soon detect tensions between modernising headmaster Quentin Marshall and established members of his staff who are harbouring buried secrets someone is prepared to kill for.   Rosemary's old school friend Dorothy invites the duo to restore the gardens of her beautiful villa on the French Riviera so the property can be opened to the public. • Season 2 Episode 2: Orpheus in the Undergrowth

  The duo are enlisted to design a memorial garden based on the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, but someone begins vandalising their work on a nightly basis - and matters are complicated still further by the death of a recovering alcoholic, whose body is found at the site.   The amateur sleuths are hired to bring a mansion's walled garden back to life, with help from inmates of the local prison. Events take a sinister turn when the property's owner cousin is found drowned in the local fast-flowing river - and become even more mysterious when, just before the Coroner's inquest, Rosemary sees the dead man alive. • Season 1 Episode 6: The Tree of Death

  Rosemary and Laura are employed to restore a country churchyard in time for a medieval fair, but it isn't long before a local landowner is killed by an arrow beneath the mysterious tree of death, an ancient yew in the centre of the graveyard. The duo investigate the possibility that rival bidders for the victim's highly desirable farm are to blame - though affairs of the heart might offer a more likely motive. • Season 1 Episode 5: A Simple Plot

  Laura and Rosemary investigate the mysterious death of a blind professor caught up in a bitter battle to save his beloved allotment from an unscrupulous land developer. A heady blend of weedkiller, cannabis and high finance hangs in the air as the duo dig for clues - and another body is turned up before they root out the villain.   While engaged on horticultural work in the grounds of pop star Nev Connolly's supposedly haunted mansion, Rosemary and Laura uncover the remains of a racehorse. The new friends are shocked to find lord of the manor Daniel unconscious beneath his bedroom window - and must decide if depression caused by his illness lead to an attempted suicide, or whether there could be a more sinister explanation for the fall.
