  In the last episode, featuring an outcome decided by viewers in an online vote, Jinx realises Mal has been using her to make Karina jealous, and a desperate Felix takes Luke hostage, meaning the live final has to be delayed. Carson and Caleb blackmail Vernon into giving them a record contract, while Lynette takes drastic action to prevent Bethany telling the world she is ineligible to compete

  Mal blithely goes ahead with the wedding-vow renewal ceremony, unaware Karina has regained her memory and plans to use the event as an excuse to humiliate him. Left jilted at the altar, he tries to regain the advantage by proposing to Jinx. The show begins to suffer as a result of all the backstage in-fighting - and Bethany is hit by a revelation about her eligibility to compete in the first place

  Mal tries to nobble the competition, pressuring Pete to ruin Bethany's performance and sabotaging Fade Up's choreography. He also attempts to wrong-foot Karina by proposing to her on the live show - only to receive a slap in the face for his trouble. Meanwhile, Angel ruins her dreams of fame with a decidedly un-PC outburst, and Luke alienates his fans with a disastrous change of image

  Mal and Karina visit New York in an attempt to sell the show, leaving Pete to take care of Ocean - who uses her parents' absence as an excuse to organise a wild party at the Faith mansion. Dana becomes an overnight Internet success with her heartfelt rendition of Suicide Bride, and Lynette approaches the tabloid Press, offering to sell the inside story of daughter Bethany's life as a contestant

  Mal and Karina get back together, but their passionate reconciliation is ruined by the unscheduled arrival of wayward daughter Ocean, whose drunken reappearance is enough to dispel any thoughts of romance. Meanwhile, Luke arranges to marry Dana in secret, but backs out at the last minute - leaving her so dejected that she records an indie version of Suicide Bride and broadcasts it on the Internet
