Synopsis:
Documentary examining John Franklin's failed 1845 expedition to find the fabled Northwest Passage - a route to Asia across the Arctic. The ships disappeared without trace, and the crew's fate remained a mystery for 10 years, until word emerged that they had resorted to cannibalism. Outraged by the rumour, the Admiralty mounted the largest ever search and rescue mission - but the truth was never discovered
