Robson Green stars as Owen Springer, a would-be surgeon who arrives in Manchester to look after his elderly father, only to fall for a beautiful management consultant who's assessing his suitability for a post at the local hospital. Although he soon manages to win her over, their relationship seems doomed from the start, due largely to the age difference and the fact she's married to his ruthless new boss. Co-starring Francesca Annis, Michael Kitchen, Kathryn Hunt, David Bradley and Daniela Nardini.
