Two-part dramatisation of the Daphne du Maurier novel about a woman who marries a rich and handsome man and is subsequently terrorised by his servants, who are obsessed with the memory of his dead first wife Rebecca. The new bride tries to escape the shadow of the deceased woman and begins to unravel the story of her death, but it seems the housekeeper, Rebecca's cousin and even her own husband are all keeping secrets.
