Rab C Nesbitt

Almost 10 years after the last episode, Gregor Fisher's string-vested Scottish street philosopher Rab C Nesbitt is back on the small screen. There are a few surprises in store as Rab's return sees him finding religion, sobriety and even the cooker, left at home preparing the tea while long-suffering wife Mary (Elaine C Smith) goes out to work as co-owner of a thriving cleaning company. However, some things haven't changed - Rab is as opinionated as ever and as usual there are plenty of things he wants to get off his chest. Tony Roper and Andrew Fairlie also return, as Rab's best friend Jamesie Cotter and son Gash, with new faces Gary Lewis (Billy Elliot and Gangs of New York) as Mary's old boyfriend Frank and Kathleen McDermott (last seen in zombie Big Brother thriller Dead Set) as Gash's new wife Lorna
