Remake of the classic sci-fi tale, originally broadcast live. The titular scientist is enlisted to monitor a rocket travelling deeper into space then ever before. However, the expedition takes an unexpected turn when the spacecraft crashes to Earth with only one survivor - whose body undergoes a horrific metamorphosis.
