Die Walkure

Placido Domingo makes his Proms debut alongside Bryn Terfel in a performance of Wagner's Die Walkure from the Royal Albert Hall. The opera tells the story of the god Wotan's efforts to divide two lovers, who remain unaware they are brother and sister. However, his daughter Brunnhilde is determined to stop him, and pays a heavy price for her defiance. Also starring Lisa Gasteen and Waltraud Meier, with the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House conducted by Antonio Pappano
