Synopsis:
First in a two-part drama, starring Helen Mirren. DSI Jane Tennison finds herself immersed in the alien world of the teenager when a 14-year-old girl goes missing. With her father dying in hospital, the possibility of professional disgrace and a long, lonely retirement stretching out before her, the detective finally resolves to confront her own demons and tackle her drink problem.
