Synopsis:
First of a two-part period drama from the pen of Lucy Gannon, creator of Peak Practice. Kevin Whately stars as David Bruce, an idealistic northerner who ventures south to take up a post with the London Gas Board, but finds city life can corrupt the most upright of citizens. Embroiled in a disastrous cover-up at work, he seeks solace with his wife's housemaid and before long they are planning a murder. With Lesley Manville, Keith Barron and Emma Cunniffe.
