Kevin Whately returns in this new one-off drama. Picking up five years after his mentor Inspector Morse's death, it sees Lewis, now an inspector himself, returning to Oxford after two years overseas. Back in his old stomping ground, he is teamed with new sidekick Det Sgt James Hathaway to investigate the fatal shooting of a college student. Laurence Fox and Rebecca Front co-star, with Clare Holman reprising her role as pathologist Laura Hobson
