First of a two-part comedy drama set in 1941, written by Only Fools and Horses creator John Sullivan, exploring the tensions between a British Spitfire squadron and a group of naive US fighter pilots unexpectedly forced to share the same Suffolk airfield. Martin Clunes stars as the British liaison officer who on the first day must deal with a German attack that devastates the Americans' new base, with Samuel West, Timothy West, Geraldine James and Jay Goede
