The first of two programmes using computer graphics and creature animation to follow the life of a sperm whale from the 1920s to the present day, exploring the deep ocean world it inhabits. The bull is first seen as a two-year-old and is captured living through dangers both natural and man-made amid spectacular sights at the bottom of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans
