Synopsis:
Simon Cross finds out how the landscape and history of a place can affect planting schemes, visiting three locations where horticultural designs have been inspired by the surroundings. First he stops at Washington Old Hall, before taking a trip to Chesters Fort, home to a selection of 120 types of thyme. Lastly, he enjoys the shapes and colours of Garden Cottage in Bolam
