Synopsis:
Margaret is drawn to Thornton despite adopting a steely resolve to aid the workers in their battle after tragedy strikes. The arrival of an unexpected visitor brings relief to Maria, whose condition has gradually deteriorated, and sparks a chain of events which causes Thornton to reach the wrong conclusion
