Barine also returns to the newly democratic Nigeria, to attend the re-burial of her brother Ken Saro-Wiwa. A new subject for the series is introduced in the form of Pedro Flores, a Mexican working in the meat-packing plants of Kansas. Although he earns more than he could at home, he misses his family and is hoping to raise enough money to move his relatives to the US
