In the 19th century, Irish labourers William Burke and William Hare embarked on a year-long killing spree to provide corpses for the most famous anatomist of the day, Dr Robert Knox. This documentary uses dramatic reconstruction and modern forensic policing methods to investigate how their actions inadvertently pushed forward medical progress.
