My Hero: Season 6 (2006)

• Season 6 Episode 8: Believe!

  George begins smashing through walls and punching people, so Arnie carries out a full body MOT and discovers the superhero's Confidometer is extremely low. A crash course in self-help books solves the problem, although it turns him into the life counsellor from hell. Last in series, starring James Dreyfus

• Season 6 Episode 7: Top of the Table

  The Superhero League Table results are released and George is shocked to find he's only managed 14th place. Desperate to secure Janet's affections, he is forced to save thousands of lives to regain top spot. Comedy, guest starring Sophie Raworth, with James Dreyfus and Emily Joyce

• Season 6 Episode 6: Dermoman

  George's latest scheme to impress Janet involves trying to boost his sex appeal by undergoing intensive bodybuilding training at the gym. Unfortunately, he takes the regimen a little too seriously, and has to be given medication to reverse the effects of his efforts - but this only makes things worse

• Season 6 Episode 5: Not for Prophet

  George indulges in religious preaching in a bid to educate Cassie in Ultronian culture - but the idea doesn't go down well with Janet. After concocting a doctrine, he tries to convert the townspeople, and his efforts convince him he's the Chosen One

• Season 6 Episode 4: Sidekick

  As George's Thermoman obligations continue to take up his time, the unlikely superhero is forced to delegate his workload, enabling him to concentrate on winning back his wife. He decides the ideal solution is to fashion a sidekick using one of his ribs, but Janet is far from impressed with the result

• Season 6 Episode 3: My Kingdom for a Cat

  George tries to find out how to wheedle his way into Janet's good books by discussing with the cat what he could do to make her happy. However, his plan appears to have gone a little awry when he coughs up a hairball and starts growing a tail and whiskers

• Season 6 Episode 2: Here's One I Made Earlier

  Janet has a hard time coming to terms with George's new appearance, and feels like their relationship is beginning all over again - something that is complicated further when both of them bring one or two dark secrets to the fore

• Season 6 Episode 1: Footloose

  New series of the comedy, with James Dreyfus taking over the role of Thermoman. The superhero returns from Ultron having been forced to change his body after losing at a game of poker, leaving Janet feeling rather uncomfortable with her husband's new appearance. Also starring Emily Joyce

• Season 5 Episode 10: Night Fever

  George is shocked when he wakes up next to Mrs Raven, unable to comprehend that it's only a dream - and not a very good one. Comedy, starring Ardal O'Hanlon and Geraldine McNulty

  Janet and George's relationship becomes strained when he reveals a secret involving a reality TV show on Ultron. Ardal O'Hanlon and Emily Joyce star

  Thermoman is forced to think on his feet for an innovative solution to plug a volcano, but not everyone is impressed by his problem-solving methods. Comedy, starring Ardal O'Hanlon

  George begins to doubt his invincibility, and his fear manifests itself in a surprising way - his body begins to disappear. Superhero comedy, starring Ardal O'Hanlon

  Thermoman retrieves the Mona Lisa from an art thief, but before it can be returned the police discover the stolen painting in his flat, leaving him struggling to come up with an adequate explanation. Comedy, starring Ardal O'Hanlon and Ray Burdis

• Season 5 Episode 4: Cassie Come Home

  Janet's mother Ella can't resist using her new-found powers as a trainee JP to punish George, and decides to arrange for Cassie and Ollie to be taken into care. Superhero comedy, starring Ardal O'Hanlon and Lill Roughley

• Season 5 Episode 3: The First Husbands' Club

  Piers tries to help George become more assertive by starting a militant men's group designed to instil a sense of authority in its members - but it proves more difficult than expected. Superhero comedy, starring Ardal O'Hanlon and Hugh Dennis

• Season 5 Episode 2: Illegal Aliens

  George and Arnie are subjected to an investigation by immigration officers keen to determine whether they can be classed as illegal 'aliens'. Ardal O'Hanlon stars

• Season 5 Episode 1: The Foresight Saga

  Janet gives birth to a baby girl, who arrives waving her mother's appendix. She turns out to have the gift of speech, and can also see into the future - though her predictions aren't always entirely accurate. Ardal O'Hanlon stars, with Emily Joyce and Madeline Mortimer

My Hero: Season 4 (2002 - 2003)

• Season 4 Episode 10: Time and Time Again

  George travels back in time to prevent Janet having a childhood accident but returns to find that by meddling with the past he has also changed the present, giving rise to an alternative reality in which she is married to Piers. Comedy series, with Ardal O'Hanlon

• Season 4 Episode 9: The Family Way

  George agrees to be a surrogate parent for a childless Ultronian couple but disaster looms when Janet sets her heart on keeping the baby - until she sees what it looks like. Comedy, starring Ardal O'Hanlon and Emily Joyce

• Season 4 Episode 8: The Consultant

  Arnie is sent to run a time and motion study on George - but the bureaucratic pressure leads to a series of alarming mistakes by the superhero. Fearing for the world's safety, Thermoman announces his retirement, until Work Experience Boy makes a hash of replacing him. Comedy, starring Ardal O'Hanlon

• Season 4 Episode 7: Big

  Ollie grows at an alarming rate from a nine-month-old baby into a 19-year-old with a serious girlfriend. Parents Janet and George are naturally distraught, especially when he then turns into a girl - so they employ an eminent Ultronian GP to get him back to his old self. Comedy, starring Ardal O'Hanlon and Emily Joyce

• Season 4 Episode 6: The Mayor of Northolt

  George stands for mayor, vowing to fix Stanley and Ella's faulty street lamp if elected, but his opponent Piers treats him as a joke candidate with no chance of winning. A unanimous victory follows for the superhero when the voters respond to his refreshingly honest approach

• Season 4 Episode 5: Space Virus

  George picks up a potentially fatal space virus and spreads it to his nearest and dearest : and only a Thermo kiss of life can neutralise it. During the process of curing them, he accidentally passes on his super-powers : Stanley and Ella become Faldo Man and Dorothy Perkins, and Mrs Raven terrorises the world with spiteful acts of mischief

• Season 4 Episode 4: It's All in the Mind

  The Ultron Council ask George to compile a report on humanity, but his mind-reading powers reveal acts of deception and wicked behaviour, leaving him in a state of despair. His sense of honesty compels him to write a damning critique - until Janet makes him snap out of it with a well-deserved tongue-lashing. Comedy, starring Ardal O'Hanlon, Emily Joyce and Tim Wylton

• Season 4 Episode 3: Taking the Credit

  George goes on a massive spending spree, leaving him perilously in debt. One solution would be to use Ollie's talent of predicting the lottery numbers, but the hero refuses point blank to employ super powers to win the jackpot, knowing it could incur the wrath of the Lord High Arbiter of Abuses of Power

• Season 4 Episode 2: The Living Dead

  George is apparently killed in a road accident, much to Ella's delight - but the indestructible superhero was merely trying to cash in on a new life assurance policy, then hatch a plot with Janet to bring himself back to life at his own funeral. Comedy, starring Ardal O'Hanlon

• Season 4 Episode 1: A Sporting Chance

  George gets to grips with the notion of sport when he is asked to join the Sunday League cricket team - but his enthusiasm soon looks set to cost him his marriage when the peace-loving Ultronian's competitive instincts are aroused. Natasha Kaplinsky guest stars

My Hero: Season 3 (2002)

• Season 3 Episode 10: A Day to Remember

  Janet's prayers are answered when George accidentally erases his own memory, forgets all about his super-powers and becomes a model husband and father. But scientists soon get wind of a meteor on a collision course with Earth - if Thermoman doesn't remember where he's put his tights within 24 hours, all human life will be destroyed. Ardal O'Hanlon and Emily Joyce star

• Season 3 Episode 9: A Little Learning

  Ella and Stanley fear George's daft behaviour will lower the tone of their 40th wedding anniversary celebrations, so decide to bar him from the festivities. However, the hapless hero refuses to take no for an answer and strikes back by taking a potion to make himself super-intelligent

• Season 3 Episode 8: Mine's a Double

  George is forced to return to Ultron to attend a superhero refresher course, leaving Janet holding the baby - until the Council provide her with a clone of her husband for company. Unfortunately, the stand-in turns out to be a devious cad with a hidden agenda that threatens George's position on Earth

• Season 3 Episode 7: Little Green Man

  Janet is shocked at George's lack of reaction when he finds her in a compromising position with the handyman, but soon discovers something else that turns him green with jealousy - literally. Ardal O'Hanlon and Emily Joyce star

• Season 3 Episode 6: Shock, Horror!

  An unscrupulous journalist photographs Thermoman in Janet's flat, and at the surgery Mrs Raven can't stay awake because the triplets are suffering from insomnia. Comedy series, starring Ardal O'Hanlon and Emily Joyce

• Season 3 Episode 5: Puttin' on the Writs

  Thermoman rescues Mrs Raven from certain death after she falls from a multi-storey car park, but rejects her amorous advances and soon learns hell hath no fury like a woman scorned - she sues him for £5million, claiming a sprained arm has caused her loss of earnings

• Season 3 Episode 4: The Older Man

  As George prepares to celebrate his 327th birthday the lease on his earthly body expires, causing him to age rapidly. A new member of staff at the health centre causes problems for Janet and Mrs Raven by deciding to modernise the surgery with Robbie Williams posters and hip-hop music. Ardal O'Hanlon stars

• Season 3 Episode 3: Pet Rescue

  George reluctantly agrees to take in Janet's parents' pooch Biggles - but it's not long before the superhero has expanded his repertoire to include talking to the animals, and sets off on a mission of mercy to reunite the depressed doggy with his long-lost mum. Meanwhile, Mrs Raven finally goes too far and is given the boot from the health centre

• Season 3 Episode 2: Zero Tolerance

  George is elevated to the status of local celebrity when he disarms a desperate man who produces a gun at the health centre. Invited to join the Neighbourhood Watch scheme by his father-in-law, he begins to wonder how long his new-found popularity will last. Romantic comedy series, starring Ardal O'Hanlon

  George and Janet are joined by a new arrival in the shape of a bouncy newborn baby who can fly just like dad - and talk like mum. Ardal O'Hanlon and Emily Joyce star

• Season 2 Episode 7: Wedding

  Janet and her parents have serious doubts about having the wedding before the baby arrives, but George daren't risk the wrath of the Ultron Council, so they rush down the aisle in the nick of time before her contractions start. Comedy, starring Ardal O'Hanlon as superhero Thermoman

• Season 2 Episode 6: Pregnant

  George learns Janet is pregnant and gives her special powers to help protect the baby until it's born, but it's not long before she humiliates Thermoman by beating him to the scene of an environmental disaster - and still manages to pop into Mothercare on the way home. • Season 2 Episode 5: Nemesis

  George's disgruntled former school acquaintance Rovi, now transformed into the heroic Miracle Man, turns up out of the blue, intent on stealing Janet away from him and ruining his life.
