My Family and Other Animals

Adaptation of naturalist Gerald Durrell's famous autobiography, recounting his childhood in Greece. Escaping the dreary wet weather of Thirties England, the eccentric and bohemian Durrell family relocate to the Greek island of Corfu, where youngest son Gerald makes the most of exploring the glorious landscape and its wildlife. But his mother soon worries he is growing too wild and arranges for him to be tutored by three local men - two of whom seem far more interested in Gerald's flirty sister.
