A woman is murdered during the San Francisco marathon and Monk suspects her married lover is to blame, even though a computer chip indicates he was present at all checkpoints during the race. The detective also gets the chance to visit his hero, an ageing runner from Nigeria whom Sharona thinks may be an accomplice - a theory Monk refuses to consider. Tony Shalhoub stars
