For good measure, he also thwarts the machinations of a mobster planning to escape from police custody in the same building
• Season 4 Episode 15: Mr Monk Goes to the Dentist (2006) Disher visits his dentist for emergency treatment, and witnesses a murder while under anaesthesia. Unfortunately, because he was semi-conscious at the time, Stottlemeyer refuses to believe him - so he quits the force and hires Monk to solve the mystery.
