Monarch of the Glen Hogmanay Special

At this time of year, many TV shows produce their Christmas and New Year specials - and most are basically feature-length offerings with maybe a Christmas tree or two in the background. So hats off to the makers of this popular Sunday night drama, who have really entered into the spirit of things with a special Hogmanay ghost story which sees four of the actors - Susan Hampshire, Dawn Steele, Alexander Morton and Lloyd Owen - travelling back in time to play 19th-century characters from Glenbogle's colourful past. Golly sets the scene by telling the tale of Mad Malcolm, a ghost that haunts Glenbogle House at Hogmanay. At first, Paul is sceptical, but the contents of a mysterious chest cause him to dream about his great-grandfather Bertie - and as past meets present, he discovers a strange link to his family heritage which looks set to change his future for ever.
