Part one of four. Alex Kingston takes the title role in this four-part drama, based on Daniel Defoe's tale of love, lust, sex and seduction in the 18th century. Adapted by Andrew Davies and sticking faithfully to the book, it chronicles Moll's story, from her birth to a convict in Newgate Prison to her upbringing by gypsies and her passionate relationships with a succession of willing suitors.
