Barnaby is implicated when a photographer is murdered shortly after a compromising picture of the detective is displayed at an exhibition. Joyce quickly comes to the conclusion that someone is trying to frame him, so is stunned when he admits to a previous relationship with the murdered man's wife, who he is seen embracing in the photograph.
