Synopsis:
Community spirit in the village of Morton Fendle is dealt a blow by the collapse of a craft centre in which many locals had invested. Chief Inspector Barnaby is called on to untangle the project's complex finances - but soon finds himself investigating a far more sinister case involving a disappearance and a murder.
