Synopsis:
When director Nick Cheyney is found beheaded by a guillotine on the set of his latest film, Barnaby and Jones are left with no shortage of suspects. Cheyney, it transpires, fostered ill relations with several people in some way connected to the project, including Leonie Charteris - the mother of his child, and actor Raymond Clandillon, who blamed him for ruining his career.
