The family's fortunes look up once more when Micawber gets a job as butler to an eccentric aristocratic couple : he an old military type with a simmering anger, she a fading beauty with a deep-rooted sexual frustration. But it soon becomes clear her ladyship has taken quite a shine to her new manservant, and for a while he is flattered by her attentions : until he realises his lordship has a tendency to gun down in cold blood anyone dallying with his wife. David Jason stars in the final episode of the Dickens-inspired drama, with Annabelle Apsion, Jan Francis, Michael Cochrane and Michael Troughton
