Life is looking up for eternal optimist Micawber : his lodger's rent has enabled him to pay off most of his debts, little orphan Alice is settling in with the family and Babbitt has got him a job as stage manager on his latest theatrical production. However, there is still one cloud on the financial horizon, namely vicious money-lender Ezra, who once more dispatches his dim-witted henchman Ismail in an effort to recover his money. But when the thug confronts our hero, no one could predict the surprise outcome of their showdown. David Jason stars in part two of John Sullivan's light-hearted drama series based on the character created by Charles Dickens, with Annabelle Apsion, Mark Benton, Jamie Foreman and Adrian Hood
