  Marin forges a relationship with an attractive handyman when a construction crew fail to carry out the required work on her cabin, and the singleton faces a dilemma when she is invited to Lynn's baby shower. Jane tries to run her business from Elmo in an attempt to stay close to Sam

• Season 1 Episode 15: Take It Like a Man

  Stuart invites Marin on an overnight skiing trip, while Jack offers his support to Lynn during her ultrasound test. Patrick confesses to Annie about his visit to a sperm bank, and Buzz is reacquainted with a figure from his past

• Season 1 Episode 14: Bed, Bat and Beyond

  Marin decides to move into her new home, and Sara does a good job of helping out at the Chieftain while Theresa looks after Ben. Patrick begins to worry that he won't be able to provide Annie with her dream wedding

• Season 1 Episode 13: History Lessons

  Marin suffers from writer's block at a bad time as her new publisher pays a visit to Elmo, while Patrick struggles to ask Annie a very important question. Jack's ex-girlfriend Lynn continues to cause problems, and Sara's return unsettles Theresa

• Season 1 Episode 12: The Darkest Day

  Annie believes that Patrick will struggle to hold down a relationship until he learns to live without his mother, and Marin decides to wait for Jack's ex-girlfriend to leave Elmo. Celia receives a visit from her demanding boss, and following her return, Sarah is surprised to see Ben and Theresa have rekindled their love

• Season 1 Episode 11: New York Fiction - Part Two

  Part two of two. Jack receives a surprise visitor while he awaits Marin's return from New York, and Patrick's decision to spend Thanksgiving with his new family puts a strain on his relationship with Annie. Jane enjoys a romantic time with Sam, and Theresa and Ben consider their future together

• Season 1 Episode 10: New York Fiction - Part One

  Part one of two. Marin makes a return to New York for Thanksgiving, where arrangements have been made to discuss her new book, but the writer misses Elmo and Jack in particular. Ben relies on Theresa for some charitable help, while Patrick must decide whether to spend the holiday with Annie or his new family

• Season 1 Episode 9: The Menaissance

  Elmo receives a special visitor when singer-songwriter Jewel's car breaks down in the town, and Marin is forced to defend her career to Jack. Meanwhile, Patrick's new stepmother Mai and Celia compete with each other in an effort to prove their parenting skills. Guest starring Jewel Kilcher

  Attempts to help Patrick and Buzz build their relationship take an unexpected turn when Celia reveals they are related. Ben offers to help Sara revise when she begins to feel nervous about her paramedic exam, and Marin assists Jack in his search for some friends trapped following an avalanche
