Eight Geordie shipyard workers trade their tools for tutus and take on a demanding new challenge : training to be dancers under the watchful eye of Daniel Jones, principal soloist with the English National Ballet, in preparation for a one-off performance before 200 workmates. Unfortunately, stress and injury take their toll as rehearsals proceed, and there are tears and tantrums aplenty before the big night finally arrives
