    Mozart's unborn pups face an uncertain fate, and the mum-to-be assesses her options as she tries to avoid losing her second litter of the year. Meanwhile, Flower's newest arrivals are welcomed into the family

    Tall grasses and beautiful flowers flourish as heavy rains leave the Kalahari covered with lush foliage. Although life is looking swell for the Whiskers, the unusual conditions could spell disaster for the family. Bill Nighy narrates

    Mozart's banishment continues, while Flower and the pups get into a vicious fight with the Commandos when the Whiskers are split up. Bill Nighy narrates

  • Season 2 Episode 5: There's No Place Like Home

    Mozart's pregnancy forces her to seek support from the Whiskers clan or risk losing the pups. Meanwhile, Flower has her own new litter, and a well-timed rainstorm ensures there will be plenty of food for the meerkats. Bill Nighy narrates

    Flower decides it is time to move because the Whiskers have been at the same burrow for five weeks. Her pregnancy makes her bad-tempered which puts her three daughters Kinkajou, Daisy and Mozart on alert and at risk of eviction from the troop

    The Lazuli tribe becomes entangled in a three-way conflict when a new family, the Commandos, spends the night in Whiskers territory and arouses the anger of their clan, with tragic results

    The Whiskers take Flower's new pups on their first foraging trip and are caught out in the open by another group of war-dancing meerkats. Meanwhile, two males who want to mate with Lazuli females join sides with Youssarian

    There is a sombre mood at the manor when Shakespeare fails to return, seeming to confirm concerns that he died defending Flower's pups in the Lazuli attack. Meanwhile, Youssarian hopes to become the dominant male of his clan

  • Season 1 Episode 13: Moving On

    The mother of the family is worried when one of her pups disappears following a battle with a rival meerkat colony who invaded Whiskers' territory. Bill Nighy narrates an insight into the daily struggles and dangers faced by a family of the animals living on the edge of the Kalahari desert

  • Season 1 Episode 12: The Calm Before the Storm

    Exiled daughter Tosca finds a rival pack of roving male mongooses and looks to begin a group of her own, while Flower leaves Shakespeare in charge when she leads the family in a search for food

  • Season 1 Episode 11: An Awfully Big Adventure

    One of Flower's new pups ventures out with the foragers for the first time sooner than anticipated, but learns a valuable lesson about living in the wild and the environment of the Kalahari

  • Season 1 Episode 10: Flower Power

    Two youngsters are left in charge when the rest of the group heads off to forage for food, and Flower gives birth to another litter of pups. Meanwhile, outcast Tosca sets out to rejoin the family

    The Whiskers family is finally recovering from the split when the safety of Daisy's pups is threatened as she gives birth in the wrong burrow - but Youssarian comes to her rescue

  • Season 1 Episode 7: Divided Loyalties

    The family go out foraging, but become separated. The mother is left stranded with two of her pups, meaning they must negotiate the dangers lurking nearby to find their way home

    One of the meerkat pups inadvertently poisons itself with venomous insects, Mozart is allowed to return to the group, and love is in the air as some of the residents search for mates. Documentary following a family of the animals living on the edge of the Kalahari desert. Bill Nighy narrates

  • Season 1 Episode 5: Childhood's End

    The family is caught in a storm and forced to take shelter in a rival group's den - which causes a ruckus when the inhabitants return. Meanwhile, group leader Flower evicts one of the young females in an aggressive fashion

    The pups embark on a foraging mission, but find themselves in trouble when a giant eagle owl appears in search of a meal, and a thunderstorm threatens the family

  • Season 1 Episode 3: Some Like It Hot

    Flower's daughter has pups, bringing the Whiskers family to a total of 37. She must decide whether to keep the newborns or allow them to die so her own litter can survive. Meanwhile, wounded Shakespeare becomes separated from the group while searching for food

    The family's pups come under threat from members of a rival meerkat group, Tosca gives birth and Shakespeare continues to fight for his life after being bitten by a snake
