John Torode and Gregg Wallace return to put more amateur chefs to the test. In the first heat, eight cooks undergo the Invention Test, where they are given 75 minutes to create a dish to impress the judges - a challenge that will see two hopefuls eliminated. The remaining six must then prove they can handle the pressure of a professional kitchen by working a lunch service at London restaurants The Living Room and Gilgamesh, before preparing one more dish for John and Gregg - who will then decide which contestants make it through to the main competition
