Season 1 Episode 2

The second of three programmes examining the work produced by the prodigious German family. As the Nazis continued to grow in popularity and gather support, the Manns sought refuge in Switzerland and France. Erika eventually reopened her cabaret in Zurich, while Klaus published his exile journal Sammlung and tried to encourage his family to write contributions
