The team leap into action when a block of flats catches fire. Mooney and Adam rush to rescue trapped children, but are mortified to find they've failed to locate one of the missing youngsters. In an attempt to relieve his anger, Mooney accepts an invitation to fight in a boxing match between the brigade and the police. Elsewhere, Charlie finally finds the ideal premises for his new fish and chip take-away : but his brother is aghast to discover he's set up shop immediately opposite his own establishment.
